As far as my field research goes I am going to interview my grandfather who is now 83 I think. I'm going to send him everything via email, and I can have it done by the time we come back from spring break. He was just out here on vacation and he's going around the US visiting all the family so he should be back sometime after the 17th of March. If the email portion doesn't work out, I'll call him, I have a feeling I'll get way more information that way, and be able to come up with some questions on the fly as well.
List of questions I will ask him:
Age? DOB?
What do think were significant events in America, during the course of your life?
Do you think the population would agree with you?
What events or people do you remember clearly to this day, that the rest of America would share with you?
Do you think socially America has moved forward?
Do you think the American lifestyle has changed drastically? How so?
What was your favor era, up till the present?
What events or people do you think have been forgotten by the younger generation?
As far as technology goes what do think has been the biggest advancement?
